About your Guides

Your guide Zachary House has been a Maryland Certified Outfitter/Master Guide for five years and has been waterfowl hunting for over fifteen years. He enjoys hunting and putting clients on the birds. To him there is nothing better then bringing birds out of the air and in close for you to shoot.

“Hunting for me is making birds want to be where we are and making them finish. The second best thing is after you have been successful in the shot, watching Chesney (my constant hunting partner) work the field or water to retrieve the downed bird.”

Your Guide Phil Trinks has been a state Certified Guide/Master Guide for two years and has been hunting with Zach for 6 years. Phil has been actively competing in calling contests for approximately two years. He has placed first in several contests and has placed first both as a junior and as an adult. He is an experienced waterfowler and has been actively hunting ducks and geese for ten years on local farms.

About Chesney

Chesney has been hunting with Zach for five years. Chesney is a six year old female Yellow Lab. Chesney will not give up looking for a bird that is down. With out Chesney, Zach would have lost a bird or two in the marsh. She is always ready to work and has been a reliable hunting partner every day of the waterfowl season for the last five years.

About Coot

Coot is a one year old black lab that is one of Chesney’s offspring. Coot was whelped last Halloween and has been in the training ever since. Coot participated in his very first hunt on November 1, 2008 for Maryland’s Youth Day. Coot has started his hunting season off retrieving his limit of birds allowed.
